Brisket Style Pork Ribs

This recipe was inspired by my attempt to create my own dry rub. Let’s just say it didn’t work so well. Fortunately, Dad came to the rescue with a rub his friend and South Florida sports journalist Ralph Delacruz often used. From there I created a liquid base, got out the slow cooker, and came up with some pretty awesome ribs.

2 lbs St. Louis Style Ribs

1/4 cup cider vinegar

1 cup water

1 TB honey

1/2 TB garlic powder

1/2 TB lemon pepper

1/4 TB chili powder

1/2 TB paprika

Pinch of Ginger

Mix liquid ingredients together until blended and set aside. Mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Coat ribs generously with rub and place the slow cooker. Cover with liquid and cook on high for 7 hours.
